MOUNT AIRY — Mr. David Robert Ezekiel, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Ezekiel was born in Scranton, Penn., March 16, 1935, to Harold Joseph and Rosina Margaret Miller Ezekiel. The Ezekiel’s moved to Mount Airy in Oct. of 2005, where he truly loved the country life and especially cherished spending time with his loving family. His family was his pride and joy. He was the ultimate handyman and enjoyed traveling with his family and wife of forty nine years. Surviving is his dear wife, Alice Worthington Ezekiel of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and James Norsworthy of Laurel, M.D.; Sherry Creech of Mount Airy; a son, Joseph Ezekiel also of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Angela Ezekiel, The Norsworthy children, Michelle, James, Jr. and wife Amanda, Matthew, Timothy, Rachel, Caleb, Micah, Alice, Lera, Hannah, The Creech children, Kevin and Justin; great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Christian Norsworthy; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie Dixon of Rockville, M.D.; Ruth Frazier of Decatur, IL; and Lois and Paul Ludka of Upper Marlboro, MD. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ezekiel was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Ezekiel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. James Norsworthy. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
