DOBSON — There will be a public forum at the beginning of this month’s Dobson town meeting today at 6 p.m. at town hall.

Todd Tucker, president of the Surry County Economic Development Partnership, also will address the board about the state of economic development in the county and in Dobson.

The board will consider a request from the Surry Storm Volleyball team for a contribution.

The board will reschedule its November and December meetings because they fall on the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Members also will decide on a day to have the town’s annual Christmas party.

Town Manager Josh Smith will give the board grant and project updates before the board discusses general town business.

The board will have a closed session meeting regarding a possible land acquisition and an economic development matter.

For more information, contact Dobson Town Hall at 356-8962.
