DOBSON — During the regular monthly meeting of the Dobson Board of Commissioners today at 6 p.m., there will be a public hearing on whether or not to increase the height of signs in the downtown area.
According to Dobson Town Manager Josh Smith, the signs in the B1 area of town, which is primarily the downtown area are now 7 feet tall. If the board votes to approve the change, the signs could be as tall as 15 feet.
The board also will consider a resolution to adopt personnel policy changes. He said if approved, employees would receive bonus pay for taking classes or getting certifications. He said he also will be asking the board to consider a Pay to Save program in which employees could receive a one-time bonus for any ideas that will make the town run more efficiently.
Smith will go over grant and project updates with the board.
General town business will be discussed before the board adjourns.
