Perry and Robin Denny of Pilot Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter, Summer Leigh, to Nathan William Kreeger, son of Billy and Judy Kreeger of King. Nathan proposed to Summer on July 25 while hiking on Pilot Mountain.

The bride-to-be graduated from East Surry High School in 2002 and from Appalachian State University in 2006 with a B.S. in education. She is employed by Surry County Schools as a fifth grade teacher at Shoals Elementary. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in instructional technology and will graduate in May 2010.

The groom-to-be is the helpdesk manager for ISP Sports in downtown Winston-Salem. He graduated from West Stokes High School in 2000 and from Appalachian State University in 2004 with a BSBA in computer information systems.

The couple will marry in July 2010 and will reside in King.
