Donald and Annie Lee Beck of Salisbury, formerly of Mount Airy, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 26 with a reception at their home. Hosting the occasion were their children, Chris and wife, Carla; Mitchell and wife, Caroline; Karen Julian and husband, Michael; and grandchildren, triplets Matthew, Joshua and Michael and Jacob Beck, and Sarah and Hannah Julian.

The Becks were married in Durham on Sept. 26, 1959, by the Rev. C.R. Tedder.

Mrs. Beck’s wedding dress and photographs from their wedding were on display.

Out-of-town guests attending were Cassa Smith of Sparta, Danielle Pack of Elkin, Mr. and Mrs. David Lee and daughter of Mount Pleasant and 60 family members and friends.

Donald Beck retired from Pike Electric, having worked there 42 1/2 years. He is the son of the late Everett and Clemmie Kirkman Beck of Mount Airy. Annie Lee is the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Snow McMillian of Mount Airy.
