Jay and Kay Lambert Simmons, 578 Haystack Road, Mount Airy, celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Oct. 30. They will be honored with a family dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. Simmons were married on Oct. 30, 1958.

Their children are Lisa Angel and Jayna East, both of Mount Airy, and Wanda Peterson and Donna Nelson, both of Kansas. They have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Simmons is a retired bass singer with several gospel and country groups. Mrs. Simmons is a homemaker.
