In 2009, Perry donated $200 to the club for the further education of a student from the Dan River District. Perry released three books in 2009 about Patrick County history including “Patrick County Oral History Project: A Guide, J.E.B. Stuart’s Birthplace: A Guide” and a photo book “Then and Now Patrick County, Virginia.”
