Allen P. Vaughn and Rebecca A. Horne announce the birth of a daughter, Maelyn Rose Vaughn, on March 5 at Forsyth Medical Center, weighing 8 pounds, .4 ounce.
The maternal grandparents are Tom and Kathy Lewis of Mount Airy. The paternal grandparents are the late Harry R. Vaughn Sr. and John and Judy Stevens of Mount Airy. The great- grandparents are Lt. Gen. (ret.) William J. and Peggy Campbell of Sarasota, Fla., Jim and Vicki Forest of Mount Airy and Elmer and Sue Horne of Prescott Heights, N.H. There is also one surviving maternal great-great-grandmother, Flora Mae Monday of Sarasota.
