DOBSON — A court-appointed attorney Thursday was chosen to represent a Mount Airy teen accused in the May 25 car wreck death of a Claudville, Va., man.

Attorney Marion Boone was appointed to represent Cody Holland, 18, of Maple Hollow Road, who is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.

The charges stem from a car crash on Hamburg Road, when the truck Holland was driving allegedly crossed the center line and crashed into a car driven by Donnie O’Dell Blair, 67, of Claudville, according to a report by the Mount Airy Police Department.

Alissa Edwards, 22, of East Bend, who was riding with Holland, was injured in the crash and was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Health. Holland was airlifted to Baptist Hospital.
