This section of Franklin Elementary was decorated with an Olympic theme for open house. Student pictures were posted on the wall as representatives of Academic Olympians. Principal Eric Riggs said the message for the evening is that all the students are winners.

Brisa Reyes seems delighted to get her bag of popcorn during Franklin Elementary School’s Open House Monday. The halls for 3-5 graders were decorated with an Olympic theme. A 3-D Quilt Block design was also painted by Franklin Art Teacher Kayla Ellis, Jessica Bolick and Jody Crawford. Professional painter Mike Shaw loaned some scaffolding for the painting project.

Franklin Elementary Popcorn Ladies Rebecca Martin and Kristy Easter lent there hand to the festivities during the school’s open house on Monday. The school’s grades 3-5 area was decorated with an Olympic theme. Principal Eric Riggs said each classroom was considered a team of academic Olympians.
