DANBURY — Stokes County officials are searching for a missing teen who was last seen looking for a ride to Surry County three weeks ago.
Aaron Monroe Hawks, 15, of Doug Stanley Road, Sandy Ridge, in the northeast section of Stokes County, was reported missing Sept. 20 by his grandmother, Marie Hawks.
According to the missing persons report from the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile left his residence around 1 p.m. that day.
His grandmother told officials he was searching for transportation to his girlfriend’s home in Pilot Mountain.
“From the information obtained through this case, Aaron has been reported to have left his residence without his needed breathing medication,” reported Capt. Craig Carico of the Stokes Sheriff’s Office.
Hawks is described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes. He is 6’1” tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red/orange T-shirt with a blue and white stripe down the side.
