Artist Pat Gwyn Woltz and Author Tom Perry will be the guests of Talley’s Custom Frame Shop in Mount Airy, North Carolina, during the Autumn Leaves Festival Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. both days. Woltz and Perry collaborated on the painting Laurel Hill 1842 two decades ago, which depicts young James Ewell Brown “Jeb” Stuart at age nine knocking down a hornet’s nest at his birthplace in Ararat, Virginia, five miles from Mount Airy, North Carolina. The painting is the cover of Perry’s new book J. E. B. Stuart’s Birthplace: A Guide for Educators and Visitors.
