The Mount Airy girls basketball team is currently holding its 11th-annual Lady Bears Basketball Team Camp.
After finishing up a four-day youth camp, the Lady Bears opened the two-day hoops tournament Friday. Basketball action continues today at Howard Finch Gymnasium and the old junior high school gym next door.
Play resumes at 9 a.m. today, and the last games get under way at 2 p.m.
In addition to the Mount Airy Blue and White teams, North Surry, Forbush, North Stokes, Ledford, Martinsville (Va.) and Carroll County (Va.) are also participating.
There are two 20-minute halves with a running clock until the last minute of each half. Each team has two timeouts per game. Admission is free to the games.
