Mount Airy High School and Reeves Community Center are teaming up again for the third-annual Kids Soccer Camp July 14-17.

The first camp had about 20 kids come out, but it doubled to 39 last summer, according to head coach Will Hurley. He’s hoping for even more growth this year.

Hurley thanked Reeves Community Center for partnering with the school. Last year RCC staffers Peter Rainour and Andrew Pelfrey lent a hand at Tharrington Park field below the primary school.

Former player Vanessa Armenta was a big help to Will and Holden Hurley, too, as about two dozen current and former boys and girls players came out to assist.

Having a big staff means that each participant gets plenty of personalized instruction. Instruction will include fundamentals of the game, skills training, games and fun activities.

The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day and is open to kids ages 8-12. The cost is $60.
