North Stokes girls' softball run a victory lap around the field after defeating East Wilkes Thursday night 3-2. The win put the Lady Vikings in the 1A Final Four, pushing them one step closer to a state championship title. On Tuesday night, the Vikings defeated Hiwassee Dam 4-1 in Game 1 of the regional final series. North will travel to Hiwassee Dam on Thursday. If necessary, a decisive Game 3 would be Saturday at Danbury. The state championships is a best of three series scheduled for June 6-7 at Walnut Creek Softball Complex in Raleigh.
