DANBURY — The East Surry Cardinals beat North Stokes 36-0 on the road and Lucas Koons led in scoring with two touchdowns.

Koons scored a touchdown in the first and second quarter. Jack Edwards also made another reception by quarterback Jon Dickenson in the second.

At halftime, the Cards led 21-0.

Blake Marion punched in a touchdown in the third, and Austin Jessup rushed in a touchdown in the fourth to cap off the victory.

Andrew Kozlow was good on all PAT except one that was blocked.

Kozlow said it was his first block so far. “It made me mad,” said Kozlow.

Madison Chilton booted a 42 yard long punt in the game.

Casey Marion, and Christian Shinault and Austin Shabdue registered big defensive stops.

Head Coach David Diamont said the kids responded well to the Monday game.

“I was tickled with my O-line,” said Diamont.
