MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Virginia Ruth Insco Bell, age 90, of Mount Airy, died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born December 15, 1923 in Weakley County, TN to the late Calvin Shaw Insco & Zula Mae Morris Insco. Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and a retired child care worker and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and showed His love to all her family and friends. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Loyd & Jo Bell of Dresden, TN, Bill & Brenda Bell of Union City, TN and John Bell Jr. and wife Marty of Lebanon, IN; daughters & son-in-law, Judy & Wayne Mosley of Mount Airy, NC and Wanda Kay Pruitt of Fountain Inn, SC; step-children, Jim Bell of Martin, TN, Leitha Carter of NV and Roy Bell of FL; twenty grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister & brother-in-law, Nancy & J.W. Shelton of Union City, TN and brother, Joe Insco of Glendale, CA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Bell; step-daughter, Dorothy Forrester; sisters, Doris Thompson, Sally Shufelt & Dovie Saenger and brothers, Fred, Ernie, Elvis and Buford “Boots” Insco. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Zane Fishel. The family will receive friends Sunday at the church from 2 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Bell will then be taken to Union City TN where the family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, from 12 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and then will leave in procession for a 2 p.m. graveside service at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted but please send to White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City, TN. The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Bell’s caregivers, Tammy Lane, Tina Combs and Gaye McKeithen. They were her angels.Howell Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the family.
