The local branch of the American Red Cross has been contacted to help provide necessities for a man who lost everything in a fire Tuesday.

According to Disaster Program manager MoAna Crompton-Dean, the Red Cross was called to the scene of a mobile home fire on Desriel Lane in Dobson around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday.

Dean said one adult victim was assisted with food, lodging, clothing and shoes, and have been referred to the Red Cross Emergency Services Department for further assistance.
