The following incidents are under investigation by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:


• On April 28, Ann Utt Martin, 43, of Oak Street in Lowgap, reported that someone kicked in the front door of her home, causing $150 in damage.


• On April 27, Davie Lee Johnson, 54, of Kyles Corner Trail in Pilot Mountain, reported that someone shot a gun near his property and struck his vehicle, causing $1,000 in damage to his 2010 Toyota Camry.


• On April 27, Shawn Harley Palmer, 27, of Maple Drive in Mount Airy, reported that someone stole a motorcycle helmet from a shed on his property. The helmet was valued at $100.


• On April 26, John Joseph Wendel Jr., 58, of Perch Road in Pinnacle, reported that someone stole a bottle of oxycodone pills from his house. The prescription was valued at $20.


• On April 26, Susie Holt Whitt, 74, of Siloam Road in Mount Airy, reported that someone stole three bottles of prescription drugs and various jewelry from her home. The items taken were valued at $385.


• On April 26, Johnny Dean Yarbrough, 50, of Caudle Drive in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a Cub riding lawnmower valued at $800.


• On April 26, Mark Thomas Atkinsons, 43, of Stone Crossing Drive in Winston Salem, reported that someone stole a kayak from a riverbank. The kayak was valued at $800.


• On April 25, Robert Howard Struck, 53, of Saddle Drive in Pilot Mountain, reported that someone cashed his check at a convenience store.


• On April 25, Craig Daniel Wilkins, 26, of Auto Bahn Lane in Mount Airy, reported that someone broke into his home and stole various yard equipment and an air compressor. The items taken were valued at $1,090.
