• Violations of larceny and possession of stolen goods were issued against a Mount Airy man early Monday after an investigation of an incident at Northern Hospital of Surry County, according to city police reports. Isaiah Daniel Boddy, 18, of 232 Swannsboro Lane, allegedly stole a ProCare wrist brace valued at $45, and is scheduled to be in Surry District Court on May 20.


• Joseph Dean Harris, 47, of 217 Rockford St., was charged Saturday with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods after an illegal entry at the home of Allan Wyatt Cook on Spring Street. The home was entered through an unsecured door, enabling the theft of a window air-conditioning unit valued at $300. The perpetrator was described as “a known subject” and Harris was charged a short time afterward. Police said he was in possession of the property, which was returned to its owner. Harris is free on a written promise to appear in District Court on May 29.


• A heating fuel tank was stolen Sunday from a residence on Oakdale Street owned by Dean Bray III. No value was listed for the property.


• Jacquelyn Leann Williams, 25, of 148 Sycamore Lane, was arrested on a charge of resisting a public officer early Sunday at The Hollows Motel on U.S. 52, where police were trying to locate another individual. That person was spotted in a room occupied by Williams when officers knocked on the door, but she refused to open it after being ordered to do so multiple times. Williams was confined in the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond, with her court date set for May 20.


• A Stihl chainsaw and a storage box, valued altogether at $350, were discovered missing Friday from the back of a 2000 Toyota Tundra pickup parked at Lowe’s hardware. The owner of the property is Joshua Robertson Forrest of Snow Street.


• Virgil Lee Richardson II, 42, of 1110 Grassy Knob Road, Pilot Mountain, was served Sunday with a criminal summons on a second-degree trespassing violation filed on April 19 with Shaun Harley Palmer of Maple Drive as the complainant. Richardson is to be in District Court on May 16.


• The wallet of Jeremy Ray Bullin of Linville Road was stolen Saturday at Walmart. The brown-leather wallet contained a State Employees Credit Union debit card, a driver’s license and an undisclosed sum of cash.


• Jane Lucy Martin, 60, of 2722 Baltimore Road, Hillsville, Va., was cited for larceny Saturday at Walmart, where she allegedly took items valued at $36. Martin is slated for a June 4 court appearance.


• Jerry Dennis Hunter, 39, of the Blu-Vue motel, was cited for a city noise ordinance violation there in the early morning hours on Saturday after he had received a warning from police and they had to return when he didn’t comply. Hunter is free on a $500 unsecured bond to appear in Surry District Court on May 20.
