• An iPhone 4s valued at $300 was discovered missing Monday at the Colonial Care senior housing facility on Snowhill Drive, according to Mount Airy Police Department reports. The phone, white in color and owned by Angel Nichole Pareoez of Belton Road — an employee there — was stolen after being left unattended.

• David Thomas Bullin II, 18, of 344 Cave Road, Dobson, is facing offenses including shoplifting and carrying a concealed weapon stemming from an incident Monday at Walmart. Bullin allegedly had placed a package of BBs in his pocket and also was found in possession of a knife with a spring-loaded release. He is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Aug. 18.

• Tommy Lee Bowman, 21, of 147 W. Poplar St., was served with an outstanding criminal summons for failing to return rental property, which had been filed on May 21, after police encountered Bowman Monday night during a reported civil disturbance at his home. Leisure Tyme Rental is the complainant in the case, for which Bowman is to be in Surry District Court on Sept. 15.

• Elissa Simmons Marion, 33, of 304 Pender St., was arrested for driving while impaired Sunday on North Renfro Street near Moore Avenue after an investigation of a traffic crash. Marion was released on a written promise to appear in District Court on Aug. 26.

• April Dawn Tate, 30, of 127 Cameron Lane, is facing a driving while impaired violation that was filed Thursday after a traffic crash. Tate’s court date is Aug. 19.

• Property valued at more than $500, along with money, was discovered missing Friday from a business location at 1390 Carter St., the address for Bonnie Lou’s Flea Market. The theft occurred after a secured storage building was entered by removing a window-unit air conditioner. Stolen were a metal cash box contained an unspecified sum of currency, another metal cash box containing fake currency, a wooden tool box with various tools, an ashtray in the shape of a yellow turtle, a Nexus tablet mobile computer and the Frigidaire air conditioner.

• Also Friday, police were told that a theft had occurred at Walmart the day before, when a known suspect took three V-neck T-shirts, two packages of lip balm and a bunion brace from the store without paying.
