Arrests

The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the following arrests:


• On Sept. 10, Jason Daniel Tate, 29, of East Pine Street in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with one count of the possession of stolen goods. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $500 secured bond.


• On Sept. 9, Ronald Lee Gray Sr., 46, of Old Highway 52 in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with one count of the possession of stolen goods. He was released from the Surry County Jail under a written promise to appear in court.


• On Sept. 9, Stephanie Lynn Hiatt, 37, of Greenhouse Road in Dobson, was arrested and charged with one count of the failure to appear in court on a drug charge. She was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.


• On Sept. 9, Christopher Wolfe, 38, of Crotts Road in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with one count of felony larceny. No information about bond was available.


Incidents

The following incidents are under investigation by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:


• On Sept. 8, Edward James Goins, 68, of Laurel Avenue in Garwood, N.J., reported that someone broke into a residence he owns located at Country Time Lane in Mount Airy. Damage to a glass window as a result of the incident ws listed at $30.


• On Sept. 8, Donna Annette Swafford, 52, of Confederate Trail in Lowgap, reported that someone took 40 10 mg. Percocet pills from his residence.


• On Sept. 7, Christopher Stephen Gentry, 38, of Klondike Road in State Road, reported the theft of a Suzuki ATV from his property. The ATV was valued at $5,466.


• On Sept. 7, Barry William Boyles Sr., 46, of South Franklin Street in Mount Airy, reported that someone stole a set of center hubcaps off his Nissan Axxess. The hubcap centers were valued at $100.


• On Sept. 7, Robert Martin Inscore, 58, of Mount View Drive in Mount Airy, reported that someone kicked in a back door to his property. Damage sustained in the incident was valued at $200.


• On Sept. 7, Jodi McBride Brinkley, 39, of Country Club Road in Mount Airy, reported the theft of an air conditioning unit from her property. The air conditioner was valued at $2,000.
