Several new Guardians ad Litem have been sworn in at the court house. These are people who volunteer eight hours or more a month to advocate for an abused or neglected child who is involved with the Department of Social Services. They are community members who want to be a positive influence for healthy, safe children as our next generation.

These dedicated volunteers go through 30 hours of training to become a Guardian ad Litem. A new class will be starting on September 26 at 4 p.m. at the Pilot Center. To find our more go to www.volunteer for gal.org or call 336-386-3721.
