Mount Airy student to attend Governor’s School

Several months after the regular admission process, Anna Elizabeth Marion, 17, a junior at Mount Airy High School, has been awarded acceptance into the prestigious North Carolina Governor’s School. Elizabeth was originally an alternate for the program; however, due to a vacancy, she will be attending Governor’s School East this summer. Elizabeth was accepted into the Natural Science Program at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Marion resides in Mount Airy and is the daughter of Stan and Julie Marion.She is a three year member of the varsity tennis team, a three year member of the varsity swim team, a member of the National Honors Society and a three year member of the Mount Airy High School HOSA chapter.
