The Surry Runnin’ Patriots girls basketball team has finished its regular season, cruising past Winston-Salem Christian 72-36 earlier this week.

The Patriots (17-8) had three players reach double figures in a game they led 22-0 after the first quarter.

Kaylee Paris had a game-high 16 points to lead Surry. She also had four steals. Jessica Boyd recorded a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds to go with four assists. Camille Fischel also had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Kelsey Cave had 11 rebounds and Sydney Bedsaul had five steals.

Coach Todd Hill of Surry said the team got contributions from all of its players. The Patriots finished with 20 assists as a team.
