These festive llamas and their handlers make quite an impression at the Dobson Christmas Parade Saturday afternoon. A variety of vintage vehicles and fire, rescue and police vehicles were represented in the annual event which was well attended. A tree lighting ceremony was held at the town hall following the parade.
The Surry Central Golden Eagles Marching Band is decked out in its holiday finery for the annual Dobson Christmas Parade on Saturday afternoon. The event was well attended in spite of rapidly falling temperatures in the area. Numerous clubs, churches and civic organizations were represented in the parade.
There is definitely a holiday theme represented with these festive motorcycles and riders which were on the Cooper’s Annual Toy Drive float during the Pilot Mountain Christmas Parade. The streets downtown were filled with spectators to view a variety of local clubs, police, fire and rescue vehicles and antique automobiles as they drove past.
These youthful participants appear to enjoy themselves as they enact a nativity scene arranged in the back of a pickup truck during the annual Pilot Mountain Christmas Parade. The Pilot Mountain Civic Club also gave out free cookies to spectators who filled the downtown sidewalks to watch the event.
