David and Annette Jones of Mount Airy announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle Stephanie Jones, to Christopher Alan Wilson, the son of Scott and Lori Wilson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Linda Jones and the late Larry Jones of Lambsburg, Virginia, and Andrew Baldwin of Claudville, Virginia, and the late Mary Frances Baldwin of Mount Airy. She also is the great-granddaughter of Victoria Dockery Hayes and the late Clyde Willford Hayes of Lowgap, and the late Vida Baughan of Mount Airy.
The bride-elect graduated from Mount Airy High School in 2011 and is entering her fourth year at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She plans to graduate next summer with a bachelor of arts degree with a major concentration of political science and a minor concentration of history and economics. Upon graduation, she hopes to continue her studies and attend law school. She is currently employed as an administrative assistant at Select Laboratory Partners and is completing an internship with U.S. Congresswoman Virginia Foxx.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Tony Wilson of Watha, Wilma Coleman of Grossclose, Virginia, Nancy Brown and the late James Brown of Marion, Virginia.
The groom-elect graduated from North Surry High School in 2011. He then attended NASCAR Technical Institute and graduated in September 2012 with a certification in basic automotive repair and also graduated from the Ford FACT program. He currently is a forklift technician at Crown Lift Trucks.
The groom-elect proposed to the bride-elect during their Christmas vacation in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 28, 2013.
The couple plans to wed at Watershed Lake in Lowgap on July 26, 2014.
