Surry County Sheriff Reports


DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• Christopher Boyd Law, 43, of Gwynwood Drive, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 11 for failure to appear in court Aug. 14 on a charge of resisting an officer. He was given a $2,000 secured bond and an Oct. 9 court date.

Law had a court date Wednesday for driving while license revoked (not impaired) and failure to maintain lane control.

He also has a court date Oct. 17 for another charge of driving while license revoked.

• Rhonda Lynn Taylor, 57, of Orchard Street, Mount Airy, was served a warrant Sept. 7 for three driving-related charges. These were hit and run, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and driving with no inspection. She was given a $2,000 secured bond and a court date later the same day.

• Hasan Raheem McCall, 40, of Maple Grove Church Road, Mount Airy, was served a warrant Sept. 7 on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. The complainant was listed as Jennifer Visalli of the same address. He was given a $500 secured bond and an Oct. 13 court date.

• Jessica Paige McLain, 24, of Galax, Virginia, was served a warrant in Dobson Sept. 8 on a charge of assault on a child under the age of 12. She was given a $1,000 unsecured bond and an Oct. 4 court date.

• Mickey Lee Anderson, 62, of Pine Street, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons Sept. 8 on a charge of assault and battery. The complainant is Larry Lawson. He was given an Oct. 13 court date.

• Douglas Scott Davis, 52, of Apex Lane, was arrested at his home Sept. 8 on a charge of disorderly conduct. The report states, “Subject was too impaired to give information.” Davis was held until sober, then given a Dec. 20 court date.

• Ricky Noel Daughenbaugh, 31, of Red Brush Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 10 for failure to appear in court that day in Wilkes County. The order says he failed to appear to show cause. He was given a $453 cash bond and an Oct. 27 court date.

• George Douglas Wright, 41, of Main Street, Dobson, was served an order for arrest Sept. 10 in Lowgap on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon, dated Sept. 5. He was given a $5,000 unsecured bond and an Oct. 30 court date.

• Daniel Robert Knott, 50, of Wood Creek Drive, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 11 for failure to appear in court in Rowan County. The original charges were driving while license revoked, expired registration and fictitious/altered title. He was given a $500 secured bond and an Oct. 10 court date in Salisbury.

• Brittany Nicole Wright, 25, of Randy Lane, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 11 for failure to appear in court Aug. 24. The charges were possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. She was given a $500 secured bond and a Sept. 25 court date.

• Doyle Michael Marshall Jr., 41, of Puckett Street, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 11 for failure to appear in court April 13, 1998. The original charges were driving while license revoked and no vehicle inspection. He was given a $500 secured bond and an Oct. 11 court date.

• Eddie Lee Simmons, 47, of Burke Road, Mount Airy, was served a warrant Sept. 12 on a charge of larceny and failure to appear in court (assault on a female), both from August. He was given a $2,500 bond and a Sept. 27 court date.

• Nickolys Xavier Kendall, 22, of Justin Lane, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 12 for failure to appear in court May 13. The original charge was possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. He was given a $300 cash bond and an Oct. 5 court date.

• Crystal Gail Lang, 37, of Neal Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 12 for failure to appear in court May 1. The original charge was nonsupport of a child. She was given a $4,691 bond and a Sept. 13 court date.
