The great falling away
Evangelist Florence Green
Greetings my brothers and sisters in Christ. According to The Good Book we are all brothers and sisters. No matter what color, race, or origin, we are one. Well! My mom and dad taught me that. The late George Owen Smith and my mother, the late Elder Rosie Lee Smith-Reynolds. I really believe your mindset has a lot to do with your ability to grow and assess situations. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3) “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled neither by spirit nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that is the day of Christ at hand.” (2 Thessalonians 3)
Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. We all know what perdition means, at least, I think we all do. Well! In case you don’t know it means Hell, Abyss, Gahanna, Hades, inferno, netherworld or pit. We don’t like to speak of hell, but just as sure as there is a Heaven, there is a hell.
Most preachers, teachers, saints of God won’t preach on that topic because they are afraid the members will walk. But my Bible tells me to preach the Word, in season and out of Season.
“But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 1:17)
“How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts”. (Jude 1:18)
“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 1:24)
“For You have delivered my soul from death, Indeed my feet from stumbling, So that I may walk before God In the light of the living.” (Psalm 56:13)
We are really living at a time of a great falling away. We seem to have forgotten all about moral ethics and we don’t value right anymore. Whatever I feel I’m led to do, I’m going to do it. Please Stop! Think about what God would have me to do. Jesus Christ would tell us to love one another as I have loved you. Mom and Dad may not have said I love you all the time, but I knew they loved me. Keep the Faith and Run The Race!
