Eleven take part in talent show

The Surry Early College Student Council recently held its annual talent show, with nine students and two faculty members performing with different talents ranging from singing, playing instruments, and dancing.

The top three finishers were:

We are very proud of each and every student for having the courage to compete in this competition. The following students are our winners for the night and will be rewarded by student council paying their admission into the Surry Community College Talent Show in the spring sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa Club.

– First place – Cierra Bullins, who played the ukulele and sang “Riptide” by Vance Joy;

– Second place – Polly Kreh played the guitar and sang “Hey Jude” by the Beatles;

– Third place – MacKenzie Boyles performed a clogging routine to the song “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

The student council will pay the entry fee for the three in the spring Surry Community College Talent Show, sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa Club.
