Surry County Sheriff Reports


DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• Amber Nicole Jones, 35, of Laurel Fork, Virginia, was served an order for arrest in Dobson Oct. 3 for failure to appear in court Sept. 20 in Stokes County to face charges of driving while license revoked (not impaired), possession of drug paraphernalia and texting while driving. She was given a $3,000 secured bond and an Oct. 25 court date in Danbury.

She also has an Oct. 27 court date in Macon County on a charges of unsafe movement while driving.

On Nov. 6 she is due in Union County for charges of having no car insurance and an expired tag.

• Tanya Lasha Jennings-Moore, 39, of Snowberry Lane, Dobson, was served a warrant Oct. 2 on a charge of violating a restraining order. The victim is listed as Chadwick Moore of the same address. She was given a $5,000 secured bond and an Oct. 13 court date.

• Jose Eduardo Cervantes, 27, of Crazy Horse Lane, Dobson, was served a warrant Oct. 2 on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was given a $500 unsecured bond and an Oct. 27 court date.

• Cassandra Anita Westberry, 54, of Franklin Street, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons Oct. 2 on a larceny charge, dated June 22. She received an Oct. 27 court date.

• Jacquelyn Brittan Arrington, 27, of Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Oct. 3 for failure to appear in court earlier that day to face a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was given a $500 secured bond and a Nov. 13 court date.

• Jessica Renee Williams, 33, of Dusty Lane, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Oct. 4 on a charge of nonsupport of a child. She was given a $100 cash bond and an Oct. 10 court date.

• Dewey Wayne Carroll, 56, of Durham, was served a criminal summons Oct. 4 on a charge of assault on a female. The victim is listed as a K. Marshall of Dobson. He was given an Oct. 27 court date.

• Zachary Zane Campbell, 24, of Teena Court, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons Oct. 4 on a charge of assault on a female. The victim is listed as Alexandria Hawks of the same address. He was given an Oct. 27 court date.

• Richard Allen Carson, 52, of Corner Road, Pinnacle, was served a warrant Oct. 5 on a charge of assault on a female in Forsyth County. The victim is listed as Amber Nicole Marshall of Winston-Salem. He was given a $2,500 unsecured bond and a Nov. 11 court date in Winston-Salem.

The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following incident reports:

• Michael David Brown, of Elkin, reported the theft of an ATV on N.C. 268 Oct. 1. He said sometime overnight an unknown person removed from the parking area a red Kawasaki side-by-side ATV valued at $16,000.

• Marlin James Mabe, of Mount Airy, reported a break-in and theft of a residence in Lowgap. Between Sept. 21-24, someone broke into a home at 721 Calloway Road. Reported taken were a Craftsman push mower ($250), Craftsman circular saw ($200), Poland chainsaw ($150), Pioneer radio ($100), floor jack ($30) and jumper cables ($20). A possible suspect was listed as a 32-year-old white male, but no arrest was listed.

• Ruben Ephraim Clark and Christopher Ruben Clark, of Mount Airy, reported a break-in and theft at a residence at 274 Hiatt Road between Sept. 23-24. Reported taken were a Vizio TV ($300), metal security cable ($100), DVD player ($50), wrenches ($50), two lawn mower batteries ($40), and miscellaneous items ($100).

• A break-in was reported at 147 Carson Oaks Lane, Pilot Mountain Sept. 23. John Roy Bullington reported that between Sept. 7-14 someone stole a 20-gauge shotgun ($50), a bucket of wrenches ($75), Craftsman ratchet set ($10), fishing rod ($15) and tackle box ($35).

• Kayla Lanae Barr reported a larceny from her truck on Sept. 22. Taken from her 1995 Dodge Dakota were a tool chest ($150), miscellaneous tools ($100), a radiator ($50) and the license plate.

• Jeffrey Lyle and Vicky Hawks McMillian, of 335 Rocky Lane, Dobson, reported a break-in Sept. 22. Taken from the home were 33 silver dollar notes ($250), an iPhone ($200), Apple watch ($300), wedding band and crosses ($100), and other assorted jewelry. A possible suspect was listed as a 32-year-old white male. The case is under further investigation.
