DOBSON — Dobson Elementary School recently held elections for the 2017-2018 year, with students selected for both school-wide positions and classroom representatives.

Students in the fifth grade were able to run for student council officer positions. They had to campaign by bringing in two posters per student and then deliver speeches to their peers.

Students in the third, fourth and fifth grades then voted on the candidates that they felt would be best for each position. They also held class elections to see who would represent each class.

The 2017-2018 Dobson Elementary Student Council is: President Tripp McMillen; Vice President Rubi Cortes-Rosas; Secretary Madelyn Wilmoth; and Treasurer Alex Gonzalez-Vargas.

The classroom representatives are:

• Third grade: Marily Landeverde, Emme Martin, Barrett Davis, Addison Worsley, Bryan Silva and Enzlie Hall;

• Fourth grade: Mallie Southern, Brayden Woodring, Bree Brame, Emma Bryant, Saul Oakley and Nicole Sawyers;

• Fifth grade: Braxton Davis, Joshua Escobar Gonzalez, Charlotte Chrismon, Lily O’Neal, Lucas Johnson and Maddy Scott.
