Surry County Sheriff Reports


DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• Mary Ann Shelton Tate, 61, of Cameron Lane, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 17 at the magistrate’s office for failure to appear in court July 25. She was given a $10,000 secured bond and an Oct. 10 court date for charges of driving while impaired, failure to maintain lane control, and failure to follow license restrictions.

• Dustin Zachary Hull, 29, Carolina Court, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 18 at the courthouse for failure to appear in court earlier in the day on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $6,000 secured bond and an Oct. 16 court date, where he also faces charges of possession of a schedule II drug and maintaining a drug dwelling/vehicle.

Hull also has a Sept. 29 appearance for larceny and possession of stolen property.

• Charles Edgar Mullins, 56, of U.S. 601, Dobson, was served an order for arrest Sept. 18 for failure to appear in Wilkes County court Sept. 15 on a charge of larceny. He was given a new court date of Nov. 24 in Wilkesboro.

• Joshua Roger Brinegar, 22, of Ivy Circle, Elkin, was served an order for arrest at the courthouse Sept. 18 for failure to appear in court earlier that day on counts of possession of marijuana (up to one-half ounce) and having an open container of alcohol. He was given a $300 cash bond and an Oct. 26 court date.

Brinegar also has a Sept. 26 court date in Guilford County on counts of driving while impaired, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and a possible 30-day revocation of his license.

• Christine Lyn Hall, 32, of Winston-Salem, was served an order for arrest at the courthouse Sept. 18 for failure to appear in court earlier that day on counts of having an expired registration and no vehicle inspection. She was given a $300 cash bond and an Oct. 16 court date.

• Angela Durham Smith, 37, of Spicer Road, Elkin, was served an order for arrest Sept. 18 for failure to appear in court earlier that day on a charge of possession of a schedule I drug. She received a $10,000 secured bond and an Oct. 26 court date.

• Celena Nicole Pardue, 22, of Murray Road, Elkin, was served an order for arrest Sept. 18 for failure to appear in court earlier that day on a charge of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a $300 cash bond and an Oct. 26 court date.

• Dora Wilson, 53, of Magical Water Lane, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 19 for two counts of failure to appear in court as a witness for the prosecution. She was given a $500 secured bond and an Oct. 27 court date.

• Travis Lee Knott, 28, of Wood Drive, Mount Airy, was served a warrant for larceny and failure to appear in court on a second-degree trespassing charge. He was given a $500 secured bond and an Oct. 24 court date.

• Karen Ann Ayers, 48, 175 Meadowlark Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 20 for failure to appear in court Sept. 11 on a charge of driving with an open container of alcohol. She was given a $2,000 unsecured bond and an Oct. 11 court date.

• Heather Renea Bowen, 25, of N.C. 268, Elkin, was served an order for arrest Sept. 20 for failure to appear on driving-related charges dated Aug. 8. She was given a $300 cash bond and an Oct. 10 court date for charges of driving with no registration, having a fictitious/altered registration or plate, no insurance and failure to apply for a new title.

• Jayla Dawn Gwyn, 19, of Circle Drive, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest Sept. 21 for failure to appear May 23 in Forsyth County. She was given a $2,000 secured bond and a Sept. 26 court date for the charges of attempted larceny and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
