Surry County Sheriff Reports


DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• Junior Raul Garcia, 28, of White Pine Trail, Elkin, was served an order for arrest June 5 for failure to appear in court earlier that day on a child abuse charge. He was given a $15,000 secured bond and a July 12 court date. He also had an order for arrest from Forsyth County for failure to appear in court May 31 for speeding and driving while license revoked. He was given a $500 secured bond with a June 30 date in Winston-Salem.

• Darren Andrew Dollyhigh, 36, of Bunker Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest on June 5 for two counts of probation violations dated March 29. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a June 12 court date.

• Jimmy Dean Poole, 34, of Spurlin Lane, Lowgap, was served an order for arrest on June 5 for failure to appear in court for assault on a female earlier that day. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a July 12 court date.

• Juan Carlos Mendez, 36, of Cedar Ridge Road, Mount Airy, was served a warrant and a criminal summons on June 6. The charges were assault on a female, communicating a threat and assault and battery. He was given a July 10 court date.

• Adriana Martinez-Ibarra, 25, of Marshall Street, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons June 6 for injury to personal property dated April 3. No court date was listed on the report.

• Justin Glenn Wright, 28, of Randy Lane, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons for second-degree trespassing dated May 8. The complainant is listed as Rico Eads of Rockford Street. Wright was given a June 14 court date.

• Mikle Eugene Dixon, 42, of Mountain View Road, Mount Airy, was served a warrant June 6 for injury to personal property and communicating threats dated the same day. The complainant is Mary Dixon of Edward Drive. He was given a $1,000 secured bond and a July 12 court date.

• Heather Lynn Scott, 40, fo Badgett Road, Ararat, was served an order for arrest June 7 for possession of a schedule IV drug dated Feb. 10. She was given a $440 cash bond and a June 7 court date.

• Darton Shane Midkiff, 18, Longhill Road, Pilot Mountain, was served a criminal summons June 7 for injury to personal property. The complainant was Tyler Ray Hicks of Old Cadle Ford Road. Midkiff was given a July 14 court date.

• Jesse Travis Dean Hurt, 36, of Kirkland Avenue, was served an order for arrest on June 7 for two counts of failure to appear in court on June 6. The original charges were assault on a female and probation violations. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a July 10 court date.

• George Douglas Wright, 40, of N. Main Street, Dobson, was served an order for arrest June 7 for driving while license revoked (not impaired) dated earlier that day. He was given a $300 cash bond with a July 12 court date.

• Jason Alexander Austin, 35, of W. Lebanon Street, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest on June 7 for failure to appear in court that day. The original charge was not listed. He was given a $500 secured bond and a July 5 court date.

• William Matthew Leonard, 34, of Jessup Grove Church Road, Pilot Mountain, was served a warrant June 7 for violating a protective order for Margaret Francis Leonard. He was given a $1,000 secured bond; the report says he was served in open court.

• Adrian Tyler West, of Maple Drive, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons June 7 for assault on a female dated March 28. The victim is listed as Hope Renee Davis of Mount Airy. He was given a July 13 court date.

• Marlena Lynn Bolen, Lower Park Lane, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons June 7 for violating the child school attendance law. She was given a July 17 court date.

• Kendra Hartgrove Smith, 51, of Winston-Salem, was served a warrant at the county courthouse June 7 for larceny and possession of stolen goods dated April 30 for the Mount Airy Police Department. She was given a $500 bond with a June 12 court date.

• Manuel Miguel Orozco, 24, of N. Main Street, Mount Airy, was served a warrant on June 7 for larceny dated the same day. The report says he was served at the detention center and presented to the magistrate over video phone. He was given a June 14 court date.

• Robert Alan Kaplan, 60, of Livingston, New Jersey, was served a warrant June 7 at the corner of N.C. 89 and Beulah Road for writing a worthless check in Johnston County in 2013. He was given a $10,000 secured bond with a July 3 court date in Smithfield.
