Surry County Sheriff Reports


DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• Austin Christopher Kilen, 28, of Richardson Trail, Lowgap, was served an order for arrest on June 3 for three counts of failure to appear in court in May. The original charges were aiding and abetting a larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor littering. He was given a $22,000 secured bond with trial dates in Charlotte for June 21 and July 11.

According to the N.C. Court System website, Kilen has a June 13 court date in Surry County for larceny and obtaining property by false pretense. He has a June 26 date in Dobson for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.

• Katelyn Brooke Kilen, 24, of Midland, was served a warrant at the sheriff’s office on June 4 for resisting a public officer, dated June 3. She was given a $500 secured bond and an Aug. 3 court date.

She also has a court date on June 13 for larceny and obtaining property by false pretense. She also has court dates in In Mecklenburg and Iredell counties in July and August including three counts of larceny, driving while impaired, drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

• Christy Marie Talbert, 32, of Goins Road, Mount Airy, was served two warrants for simple assault on May 31. The complainant is Chris Talbert of the same address. She was given a June 30 court date.

• Britt Randall Mayes, 28, of Millard Lane, Mount Airy, was served a government warrant on June 1. No bond was given and no court date was listed on the arrest report.

• Shane Everett McMillian, 25, of Chestnut Ridge Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest on June 1 on two counts of failure to appear in court in March. The previous charges were not listed on the report. He was given a cash bond of $667 and a June 2 court date. According to the N.C. Court System website, McMillian had two court dates for assault on a female: June 9 and July 10.

• Bradley Shane Collins, 25, of McBride Road, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons on June 1 for reconnecting a utility. The complainant is Surry-Yadkin EMC. He was given a June 6 court date.

• Michelle Leigh Stickler, 35, of Southwycke Lane, Pilot Mountain, was served an order for arrest on June 1 for failure to appear in court in April. The original charge was simple assault. She was given a $2,000 secured bond and a June 2 court date.

• Chase Thomas Shelton, 17, of U.S. 52 Bypass, Pilot Mountain, was arrested June 1 on the charge of failure to appear in court from May 15 for having no driver’s license. He was given a $300 secured bond and an Aug. 7 court date in Stokes County. He also has an Oct. 11 court date in Surry County for possession of a schedule VI drug and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

• Travis Timothy Hicks, 40, of Hiatt Road, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons on June 1 for assault on a female. The complainant was Crystal Gail Hicks of Mount Airy. He was given a July 7 court date.

• Eddie Lee Simmons, 47, listed as homeless, was served a warrant on Old Buck Shoals Road on June 2 for assault on a female. He was given no bond and a court date of July 19.

• Thomas Jefferson McGill, 49, of Winston-Salem, was served an order for arrest while in the Surry County Detention Center on June 4. The order was for failure to appear in court on a count of second-degree trespassing from March. He was given a $500 secured bond and a June 12 court date.

• Mark Gray Flinchum, 43, of N.C. 268, Pilot Mountain, was served a warrant on June 4 for assault on a female and communicating threats. The complainant is Pamela Edwards of the same address. No court date was listed on the report.

• Charles Edgar Mullins, 57, of U.S. 601, Dobson, was served a warrant June 5 for larceny in Wilkes County. He was released on a written promise to appear in court June 30 in Wilkesboro.

• William Andrew Bowman, 28, of Nelson Hollow Road, Pilot Mountain, was served a warrant on June 5 for felony larceny of a moving vehicle, felony breaking and entering, possession of counterfeit currency, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked (not impaired), all dated from October. He was given a $15,500 secured bond and a June 26 court date.

• Casey Nicole Poindexter, 22, of Lori Lane, Mount Airy, was served a warrant June 5 for larceny and possession of stolen goods dated May 29. She was given a $2,500 unsecured bond with a July 31 court date.
