Surry County Sheriff Reports


DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• Joshua Wayne Potts, 28, of Tinker Dam Avenue, Dobson, was served with orders for arrest and a warrant on May 15. The charges include failure to appear for a felony charge of breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, two counts of possession of stolen goods, and filing a false police report (March 1). He was given a $20,000 secured bond with court dates of June 7 and July 5.

• Jesse James Outlaw, 23, of Thurmond, was served an order for arrest on May 9 charging him with possession of a stolen vehicle. He was placed under a $10,000 bond with a May 10 court date.

• Justin Lee Davis, 29, of White Pines Country Club Road, was served an order for his arrest May 10. He is charged with failure to appear in court to face a child support nonpayment count. He was placed under a cash bond of $3,959.15, typically the amount the person is behind. He has a June 6 court date.

• Jonathan Preston Pell, 32, of Buena Vista Drive, Pilot Mountain, was served an order for arrest on May 10 on a charge of nonsupport. He was placed under a $1,300 secured bond with a May 22 court date.

• Jennifer Alayne Vaughn, 24, of Mid Lane, Mount Airy, was served a warrant on May 10. She is charged with violating a domestic violence protection order and for nonsupport of a minor. She was placed in jail under no bond with a June 6 court date.

• Lori Jane Anderson, 57, Andy Griffith Parkway, was served a criminal summons May 11. The charges are assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault and misdemeanor larceny, dating from April 17. The complainant is William Howard Dutton of Mount Airy. No bond is listed.

• Tanner Lee Easter, 27, of Canine Trail, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons May 12. The charges are assault and battery and violating a domestic violence order. The complainant is Heather Easter of Ararat, Virginia. No bond was listed. The court date given was May 19.

• Cassandra Alaine Tate, 21, of Edgewood Drive, Mount Airy, was served a warrant on May 12 on a charge of assault and battery. The complainant is Sammy Lee Gwyn, Mount Airy. No bond was given. The court date is June 9.

• Benjamin Cole Reece, 23, of Reece Road, Dobson, was arrested May 12 on four counts of failure to appear in court, dated March 20. He was placed under a $300 cash bond with a July 10 court date.

• Anthony Steven Wooten, 35, of U.S. 601, Dobson, was served a criminal summons May 13 on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. The complainant was David Atkins of Ararat. Wooten was given no bond with a June 16 court date.

• Jordan Shelley Madalalon, 17, of Charlotte, was served a warrant May 16. The charges were breaking and entering of a vehicle, larceny and possession of stolen goods. The complainant is listed as a J. Phillips, of Charlotte. He was being held without bond with a May 25 court date in Charlotte.

• Donnie Lynn Buston, 38, of Snowhill Church Circle, Dobson, was served an order for arrest May 17 on a charge of failure to appear in court. The original charges were assault on a female and probation violations. He was given a $2,500 secured bond with a June 1 court date.

• Robby Delane Todd, 45, of Tidewater Lane, Lowgap, was served a warrant May 16 on a charge of failure to appear in court. The original charge was not listed, but the complainant was given as Christy Todd. He was given a $2,000 cash bond and a May 22 court date.

• Jonathan Earl Gross, 36, of New Crosswinds Court, Mount Airy, was served a criminal summons May 16 charging him with seven counts of writing a bad check. The complainant is D&J Galaxy on Westfield Road. Gross has a June 16 court date.

• Elijah Paul Bowman, 48, of N.C. 67, Elkin, was served an order for arrest May 17 on two counts of probation violations dated April 25. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and a court date that same day. According to the report, the case is being appealed to Superior Court.

• Earl Lynn Sneed, 49, of N.C. 268, Elkin, was arrested May 13 on a charge of failure to appear from Dec. 2 (the original charge was not listed). He was given a $300 secured bond and a June 16 court date.

• Joshua Rhys Jones, 21, of Old Orchard Lane, Pilot Mountain, was served an order for arrest on May 16 on a charge of failure to appear, dated May 4. He was given a $300 secured bond and a June 6 court date.

• Laurie Kay Baker, 52, of Peachland, was served a warrant at the courthouse May 10 charging her with two counts of obtaining property by false pretense, dating to Feb. 20. According to the paperwork, she was in the courthouse on another matter when she was served. She was released on a written promise to appear in court on July 3.

• Terrell Noel Jones, 22, of Winston-Salem, was served an order for arrest May 10 while in court for another case. The new charge was failure to appear on misdemeanor larceny for Forsyth County. He was given a $250 cash bond with a June 5 date in Forsyth.
