Church plans tuition fundraiser

Staff Report

DOBSON — Salem Baptist Church at Dobson will hold an auction and craft show Saturday to fund need-based scholarships for students of Salem Christian Academy.

The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will include more than 25 vendors specializing in handcrafted items, homemade desserts and more.

Silent bids will be accepted on auction pieces until the beginning of a live auction at 3 p.m., to be headlined by a week-long vacation rental at Topsail Beach.

Donations of items for sale are still being accepted for the fundraising event. Those who would like to contribute or offer other support can contact Jennifer Freeman, a local school principal, by emailing her at jennifer@salembaptistdobson.org.

Salem Baptist Church, located at 430 Rockford Road, is engaged in local and international missions.

Its activities include maintaining a pledge to provide tuition assistance for families in need who desire a Christian education for their children, which will be aided by Saturday’s fundraiser.
