Christmas Light Displays

Christmas Light Displays

In addition to the annual Christmas light display in Pilot Mountain put on by Larry and Rachel Charpiat, there are a number of other notable, large Christmas light displays in the region. Among those within an easy drive are:

Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park near Winston-Salem

One of the largest drive-through light displays in the southeast with thousands of lights and scenes, a holiday gift village (at the red barn, halfway through) with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, holiday crafts, wood workings, gifts, craftspeople, and more! Open Nov. 21 – Jan 3 from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays are very popular, so expect extremely long lines and wait times. Mondays through Wednesdays experience lower visitation. Horse-drawn carriage rides and hayrides available at an extra cost.

$15 for cars, vans, and trucks; $30 for commercial vans, limos, and mini-buses; $100 for motor coaches and large buses. Call for more information – 336-703-6400 or visit www.forsyth.cc/parks/tanglewood/fol
