April Michelle Haynes, 35, of Emerson Road, Dobson was charged on Sept. 19 with misdemeanor simple assault. Haynes is due in court on Oct. 9. No bond was set.

Richard Nichols Evans, 72, of Trade Lane, Dobson, was charged on Sept. 21 with felony worthless check. Bond was set at $8,300 unsecured with a court date of Nov. 23.

Officers in Iredell County arrested James Sylvester Dalton, 59, of Riverside Drive, Mount Airy, on Sept. 25 and charged him with misdemeanor assault and battery. Dalton was released with a written promise to appear in court on Oct. 19.

Candace Leigh Lowe, 29, of Magnolia Street, was charged on Sept. 28 with one count of felony obtaining property by false pretense. Bond was set at $1,000 secured with a court date of Oct. 28.

Richard Travis Butcher, 35, of Blackburn Road, Thurmond, was charged on Sept. 28 with one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $1,000 secured with a Nov. 12 court date.

Daniel Carlos McNeil II, of Westfield Road, was charged on Sept. 27 with misdemeanor violation of a domestic violence protective order. No bond was set. McNeil is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 2.

Sandra Bottoms Easter, 44, of Creek Lane, Ararat, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault on Sept. 29. No bond was set. Easter is due in court on Oct. 13.

Brandon Lee Bauguess, 37, of Bryant Mill Road, Ararat, was charged on Sept. 29 with communicating threats and failure to appear/assault causing serious bodily injury. Bond was set at $100,000 secured with a court date of Nov. 11.

Jacob Michael Tate, 24, of Capitol Lane, Mount Airy, was charged on Sept. 25 with failure to appear for a probation violation. Bond was set at $20,000 secured with a court date of Oct. 5.

Justin Alexander Bond, of Glen Terrace, Mount Airy, was charged on Sept. 21 with assault on a female and failure to appear for a protective order violation. Bond was set at $1,000 secured with a court date of Oct. 19.

William Christopher Poff, 44, of Dinosaur Lane, Mount Airy, was charged on Oct. 1 with one felony count of violating a domestic violence protective order, misdemeanor communicating threats and assault of a government official or employee. A secured bond of $10,000 was set with a court date of Dec. 1.
