Additional charges were filed against Jim Terry Hairston, 43, of Grassy Creek Road, Pinnacle, who was charged in August for allegedly raping and assaulting an elderly woman. The Sept. 13 warrant charged Hairston with one count of felony larceny. Bond was set at $1,000 secured with a trial date of Oct. 19. Hairston was also issued a criminal summons and is due to appear in court on Oct. 8 for a charge of misdemeanor injury to personal property. According to a representative from the Surry County Sheriff’s Office, the new charges are related to the same incident.
Warrants from April were served to Benji Alton East, 31, of Harris Road, Walnut Cove, who was charged with three counts of misdemeanor larceny. The arrest report states that the alleged crimes occurred in Alamance County. East was arrested on Pinnacle Hotel Road, and was scheduled to appear in court in Stokes County on Sept. 16 and in Alamance County on Oct. 9. Bond was set at $3,000 secured.
Christopher Clifford Pike, 27, of Andrea Lane, Mount Airy, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense. Bond was set at $5,000. The type of bond and court date was not listed on the Sept. 14 report.
Thomas Graybeal, of Philip Branch Road, was charged with seven felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of false report to a police station, which is a misdemeanor offense. Bond was set at $17,500 secured with a trial date of Nov. 12.
Leonardo Molina, 17, of Chapman Lane, Mount Airy, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and was released with a written promise to appear in court on Oct. 9.
Dillon Daughenbaugh, 22, of Bebe Lane, Lowgap, was charged with two counts of domestic violence protective order. No bond was set at a trial date of Oct. 9 was set.
