DOBSON — In written statement released by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Graham Atkinson announced that three men were apprehended following a robbery on Tarheel Lane on Tuesday.

According to the statement, two men armed with a handgun entered a home, where they found the resident with her two children. According to authorities the resident attempted to wield her own handgun.
