Brandi Marion Reynolds and Elam Thomas Flynt Summey were united in marriage on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 5 p.m. in an outdoor beach themed wedding in the backyard of the bride’s mother’s home in Mount Airy. The Rev. Drew Southern officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Tony Reynolds of Mount Airy and Jerry and Sheila Marsh of Cana, VA. She is the granddaughter of Maggie Reynolds and the late Curtis Reynolds and Edith Jones and the late Harlie Jones.
She graduated from North Surry High School and UNC-Wilmington. She is employed by Durham Public Schools.
The groom is the son of Ted and Emily Summey of Germanton, NC. He is the grandson of Cliff and Estelle Summey and Louise Flynt and the late Holt Elam Flynt.
He graduated from South Stokes High School and NC State University. He is employed by Corley Redfoot Architects in Chapel Hill, NC.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Brittany Young of Alexandria, VA.
Bridesmaids were Savannah Snow, Arielle Lapid, Mara Joyce, Sara Hale and Adrienne Horton, all friends of the bride.
The flower girls were the grandmothers of the bride and groom.
Malachi Stanley served as best man. Groomsmen were Dylan Joyce, Jordan Mercer, Ethan Jones, groomswoman Katie Arbogast and Dan McCluskey, all friends of the groom.
The couple will reside in Chapel Hill, NC.
