Senior Living Communities announces ‘Live Long WellCare'
Senior Living Communities, an owner and operator of premier retirement communities in the Southeast, including RidgeCrest retirement community in Mount Airy, recently announced “Live Long WellCare” as its newest level of care offered at each of its nine campuses.
Planned to be launched in communities over the next several months, Live Long WellCare is an in-home healthcare service that will provide staffing for residents who want to stay independent in their own home either on a short- or long-term basis.
Founded under its parent company, Senior Living Communities, Live Long WellCare's mission is to deliver high quality, affordable and comprehensive in-home services personalized to each individual's needs, enabling residents to maintain full quality of life in their own home.
“With the retirement industry constantly evolving to meet the needs of the growing senior population, our goal with all of our communities is to provide options for our residents to live independently as long and easily as possible,” said Donald Thompson, president and CEO of Senior Living Communities. “By providing this new level of service, we're helping to create more of these opportunities.”
Live Long WellCare will offer services provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no minimal amount of service required. The program features a companion service to help with daily life activities, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation and medication reminders. Private duty nursing services are also available for wound and post-surgery care, accident recovery and pain management.
If residents require therapy, Live Long WellCare will be staffed to offer physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies. To determine the level of therapy needed, a patient centered care model will be used to identify functional and medical needs, evaluate function abilities, develop and implement a care plan and measure progress and re-adjust as necessary.
Live Long WellCare is a licensed, bonded and insured company. It will be Medicare certified, and will also accept most private insurances.
