City and county law enforcement are seeking the whereabouts of two missing teens they believe may be together.

As reported earlier on, Mount Airy police say 13-year-0ld Kora Nicole Ledezma was last seen at her residence on Poplar Street around 11 p.m., Monday.

She is described as a white female with a medium complexion, standing about five feet, five inches tall and weighing 110 pounds.

When last seen, she was wearing navy blue jogging pants and a Mount Airy Middle School sweatshirt.

According to Surry County Sheriff Graham Atkinson, Ledezma may be traveling with her boyfriend, Antonio Manuel Hernandez, 16, described by police as a black male standing about five feet, five inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds.

Family members of Hernandez say he was last seen in Thursday, March 6, when getting on a school bus at his Piper’s Gap Road home.

Atkinson said it is unknown where the pair may be traveling or “how they are getting around.”

“The investigation of the two missing juveniles is being handled jointly with the Mount Airy Police Department,” he said.

The two departments are being assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

Anyone with information about the missing teens is asked to call the Mount Airy Police Department at 336-786-3535, the Surry County Sheriff’s Office at 336-401-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 336-786-4000.
