Granite Bears clinch Northwest wrestling title

DANBURY — The Granite Bears wrapped up a conference championship in wrestling with a 75-6 win over North Stokes Friday night.

The Bears took every weight except 195 where North Stokes’ Chase Gammons pinned David Luna in the third period. The other 13 weights went to Mount Airy.

Even though the Bears have one match left, Mount Airy already has clinched the Northwest 1A Conference regular-season title.
