PINNACLE — Nanette Denise DelGuercio Hill, 49, of Pinnacle, NC passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014, at her residence. She was born February 22, 1964, in Elizabeth, NJ, to Anthony DelGuercio and the late Lora Jayne Fortune DelGuercio. Nanette was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandson Gabriel was the love of her life. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and participating in charity rides. She rescued animals and assisted animal shelters with donations and finding homes for animals. Nanette was a kind and loving person who made friends easily and was always there for anyone in need. She loved life and lived it to its fullest. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Crystal Diane Hill and Crystal Jessup Hogan; a grandson, Gabriel Thomas Martin; a brother, John DelGuercio; her father, Anthony DelGuercio; her grandmother, Nanette DelGuercio; three special nieces, Kalea, Ambriya, and Kaydin; and her best friend, Gail Romayo. She had remained close to her former husband, Gregory Hill; to her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Doris Gilbert, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in law; and numerous cousins and extended family. The poem, “Footprints” was her favorite and the last lines truly sum up how she lived her life and loved others. “The Lord replied, … During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” Preceding her in death were her mother, Lora Jane Fortune DelGuercio and her best friend, Kellie Freeman. A memorial service will be at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 13, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. with an informal visitation following the service.
