Officers with the Surry County Sheriff’s Office have reported the following arrests:


• On Nov. 24, Richard Spencer Cheek, 51, of Grassy Creek Road in Pinnacle, was arrested and charged with possessing a weapon of massive destruction. He was booked into the Surry County Jail and released on a written promise to appear in court.


• On Dec. 1, William Michael Hazelwood Jr., 17, of Cedar Ridge Place in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.


• On Dec. 2, Virgil Lee Richardson II, 42, of Grassy Knob Road in Pilot Mountain, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice in Carroll County, Va. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.


• On Dec. 2, Michael Gray Flippin, 46, of Forgiven Lane in Lowgap, was arrested and charged with one count of obtaining property under false pretenses. He was released from the Surry County Jail under a written promise to appear in court.


• On Dec. 2, Brian Wesley Ball, 47, of Union Cross Church Road in Yadkinville, was arrested and charged with one count of felony breaking and entering. He was released from the Surry County Jail under a written promise to appear in court.


• On Dec. 2, Nicholas Mace Johnson, 28, of Ivey Dale Lane in Harmony, was arrested and charged with one count each of breaking and entering, the larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny after breaking and entering. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.


• On Dec. 2, Brittany Nicole McGee, 27, of Ivey Dale Lane in Harmony, was arrested and charged with one count each of breaking and entering, the larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny after breaking and entering. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond.
