Surry Community Colege featured on North Carolina Now

DOBSON —In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the NC Community College System, UNC TV is airing a documentary video for each of the 58 community colleges.


Filming for the segment featured Surry Community was completed at the Dobson campus on Aug. 15, and the school received word yesterday from the television station that Surry’s profile will air today at 7:30 p.m. during the program “North Carolina Now” on UNC TV.


Surry Community College FoundationExecutive Director Marion Venable indicated Rick Sullivan Media in Cary has produced the profiles which are accessible at www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/50th/.


“As Surry Community College approaches its 50th Anniversary in 2014, we are pleased to have our college featured as a vibriant part of the North Carolina Community College System which is currently celebrating 50 years,” said Venable.
