DOBSON — The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will offer a Small Business Loans and Financing seminar on Aug. 27 from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Pilot Center, 612 E. Main St. in Pilot Mountain.
This informative seminar is offered at no cost to participants. John Canosa, vice president of Surrey Bank & Trust, will be the presenter. During his career, Canosa has been awarded the Small Business Administration’s Financial Services Champion of the Year for both North Carolina and Virginia.
“This seminar is an excellent opportunity for business owners to learn from one of the state’s foremost loan experts,” said Susan Coble, coordinator of the SCC Small Business Center. “Attendance is highly recommended whether your business requires financing presently or anticipates the need for a loan in the future.”
A few of the topics to be covered during the seminar include: types of small business loans available; information needed for the application; what the lender is looking for in the application and your business plan; and improving your credit score.
Advanced registration is required for this seminar by emailing Susan Coble at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the Small Business Center at 386-3685.
