Mount Airy City Schools have announced that Jennifer Freeman has been named the assistant principal of Mount Airy Middle School.
According to information supplied by school officials, Freeman obtained her undergraduate degree from Campbellsville University in Kentucky and her Master of Arts degree in school administration from Gardner-Webb University. She is married to Justin Freeman and is the mother of one daughter, Addison, who is 3 years old.
Freeman began working in Mount Airy in 2002 when she began teaching music at Jones Intermediate School. In 2007, Freeman accepted the assistant principal position at Jones Intermediate and served in that role until 2011. For the past two years, she taught music to Tharrington Primary and Jones Intermediate students and this past year she was the choral director at Mount Airy Middle School.
Mount Airy Middle School Principal Susan Bunch, states, “Mrs Freeman exhibits immense creativity and enthusiasm, and will be a tremendous asset to MAMS. I look forward to working alongside Mrs. Freeman as we continue to ensure MAMS is a national leader in education.”
